"None of you truly believes unless you love for your brother what you love for yourself."
"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favour of Allah upon you — when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favour, brothers."Qur'an 3:103
A non-political, non-profit association working for the Muslim community of Cameroon since 28th July 2000.
Nso Islamic Cultural and Development Association (NICDA) was created on 28th July 2000, following a declaration received by the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Mfoundi Division, Yaoundé, Cameroon, under Registration N°00321/RDA/J06/BAPP of 28 July 2000.
NICDA is non-political and non-profit making, and its objectives are spelt out in full in its constitution. The association operates through six branches: Yaoundé (Headquarters), Kumba, Bertoua, Mbakim, Goura and Vondou.

Put in place specialised structures whenever needs arise, to respond to the humanitarian needs of the community.
Conduct research to inform decision-makers, and build collaboration ties with development-oriented organisations and government agencies in areas that do not contradict Islamic principles.
"None of you truly believes unless he loves for his brother what he loves for himself."Founded on the principles of love, unity and fraternity, NICDA has focused its efforts on mobilising and rallying its members around this mission for over two decades.
The governing body of the association is organised into three bodies.
The highest decision-making body, bringing together the full membership to set direction for the association.
The consultative council that advises on Islamic guidance and major decisions between General Assemblies.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of NICDA and its branches nationwide.
"Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is rightly guided." — Qur'an 16:125
This verse emphasises inviting others to the path of Islam with wisdom, good advice and kindness. It encourages believers to engage in respectful dialogue, presenting the teachings of Islam in the best possible way — remembering that guidance ultimately comes from Allah, and it is our duty only to convey the message sincerely and compassionately.
"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, saying, 'We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.'" — Qur'an 76:8–9
This verse highlights the virtue of giving without expecting anything in return, seeking only the pleasure of Allah. It encourages our members to be generous, compassionate and kind towards the less fortunate — including the needy, orphans and captives.
Our Islamic Youth Camp grounds young members in the fundamentals of the faith, taught by qualified instructors in a structured, supportive setting.
The camp draws on the Qur'anic call to "read" and to keep "increasing in knowledge" (Qur'an 96:1, 20:114), and on the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ teaching that seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim (Sunan Ibn Majah).
